DIY Grilling Gift Crate

Nothing says warm weather more than kicking up your bare feet and lounging around your patio with family and friends. And, of course, no backyard gathering would be complete without a piping hot grill filled with smoking meats and sizzling veggies.

Make sure your outdoor cook has everything they need to keep the party going by giving the gift of high-quality grilling accessories. This season, however, ditch the gift bag and make a statement with a DIY grilling gift crate.

The beauty of a gift crate lies in its simplicity: no tissue paper, no bows, no fluff. All you need to open it is a crowbar and a little elbow grease, which makes it the perfect gift for Dad or any other grilling enthusiast in your life. Plus, opening a gift with a crowbar? Now that’s just plain cool.

An Easy Patio Update With Vivid, Carribean-Inspired Color

We loved the zen-inspired patio Camille Simmons styled for our Patio Style Challenge series. But Camille, who’s the talent behind the blog Planning Pretty, insists that something was missing and it was time for an easy patio update.

We’re not going to argue with a talented DIYer the likes of Camille, so… sure! Let’s do a patio update. We were excited to see how she could improve on the comfortable and peaceful outdoor space she designed for her (very fortunate) brother. It’s a Patio Style Challenge Redux.

Of course, the added corner bench seating also gives her more opportunities for her excellent patio decorating ideas.

This is Gloribel’s second Patio Style Challenge for The Home Depot Blog. Previously, she showed us how to make the most out of a very small apartment balcony, but now, she’s working with a larger outdoor design canvas in her new home.
