The Home Depot opens its second Home Depot Superstore

The Home Depot is celebrated, not the Grand Opening, but the Grand Re-Opening of our store #6643 in Anaheim Hills, California. And this re-opening was indeed very special–this is the second Home Depot Superstore in America.

The Anaheim Hills Home Depot store was already one of the biggest Home Depots in the country, and now it’s positively huge, with 211,000 square feet of space — about twice the space of the average Home Depot store!

Now we’re even better able to serve the residents of Anaheim Hills, Yorba Linda, Chino Hills (and everyone in northern Orange County!) with space for terrific new showrooms and expanded selection of home improvement products.

The Anaheim Hills Home Depot #6643 is located at 1095 N. Pullman Street, just north of the Riverside Freeway, and west of Yorba Linda Blvd. For more information, call the store at 714-921-1215.

A new employee of Store #6643, JON SCHWARTZ, gave us an awesome experience. He was working the Will Call desk and assisting us with a special order (large area rug). I found him extremely knowledgable and was surprised that he had only been with HD for four (4) months. This guy is going places and HD would be wise to cultivate employees like Jon and get him into your management trainee program. If I owned a local business I would have hired him away from you guys in a second. I also plan to call the GM of the store today to tell him the same thing. Thank you, Jon Schwartz!

I would like to commend Rick Morgan, design consultant at the Anaheim Hills store, for his outstanding effort. He worked very hard to get me a super deal on a kitchen counter-top. I had been to several other Home Depot stores that day, and all of the other sales people in the counter-top department seemed disinterested or not familiar with their products. (This is going to be a real problem for Home Depot.) In any case, Rick Morgan went the proverbial “extra mile” and I wanted to salute his effort. Jeannie

      Thanks for the feedback, Jeanne.

I’m sorry to hear about your less-than-sterling experience in some of the Home Depot stores you visited. But I’m relieved to read that Rick Morgan came through for you with the customer service you should expect from The Home Depot. I’ll pass your comment on to the store manager.

I work at the home depot in kyle tx. man thats awesome ,ya need a home depot superstore,in san marcos tx,
thats between austin san antonio tx. that would blow doors off at lowes ha ha

    • Craig Allen says:

So what’s happening at Home Depot store #8454? Sounds like you’re volunteering your store for a super store upgrade. I’ll pull all the strings I can to make that happen. I’m pretty stringless, though, so you might have to continue blowing the doors off you-know-who with a regular sized Home Depot store. Make us proud, John.

I love the idea and know it will be a tremendous success. As a Real Estate agent in Orange County, My question of will you be considering a site in South Orange County where the population is greater and your existing stores are doing well.

I am excited for the company and the local community.

    • Craig Allen says:

Thanks for the comment, james, and especially for your enthusiasm about The Home Depot.

I know The Home Depot is always assessing where to open new stores, and in one sentence you’ve made a great pitch for another store in South Orange County. I know that’s a very vibrant region, with a lot of home improvement going on. I have no inside information, but who knows? Maybe South Orange County will be seeing a new Home Depot store eventually.

I work at a home depot and ive never seen anything like this home depot before. I work at the home depot in Fredericksburg Virginia and I would love to see all this in person. Its all just beautiful!

  6. Megan says:

This is my go-to place for almost everything, for home, garden and stuff for my classroom. This particular depot is HUGE and there is plenty of room to go up and down the aisles without having to wait for traffic to clear.

    • Craig Allen says:

Thanks for chiming in, Megan. You say you buy stuff for your classroom? I guess you’re a teacher. Thanks for helping nurture our kids. That’s a very noble calling.

Please go check out the newly expanded Anaheim Hills Home Depot. We’d love to hear your impressions of the “new” store. Seriously.
