At The Home Depot, we love when people take ordinary products and turn them into the extraordinary. Here on The Apron Blog, we’d like to celebrate bloggers and creative types all over the web for their ingenuity. We loved being reminded of the amazing things you can create when you challenge yourself to think outside of the box!

Repurposed pegboard as a flower vase

Photography by Jasmine Star for Style Me Pretty

The blog Style Me Pretty recently featured a wedding inspiration shoot where pegboard of all things was used to create a truly incredible and elegant table centerpiece. The blooms gracefully float over the table, and small votive candles are integrated flawlessly into the arrangement.

When you start planning an event, you start to realize that multiple glass containers and vases can cost you a pretty penny. This metal pegboard costs about $34.97 for two 16in x 32in sheets. Pretty economical, and the metal finish gives this pegboard tons of glamour. If you want to take the farm-chic route, traditional pegboard, made from particle board, is even cheaper at $6.97 for a 24in x 48in sheet.

The designers used Plasti-Dip, a product used to coat tool handles for easy gripping, to give silverware an ombre effect. One can of Plasti-dip costs $6.88 for about 5 square ft. of plastic coating. GENIUS! Plasti-Dip, repurposed

Walking the aisles of Home Depot may not seem like a particularly glamorous affair, but this wedding photo shoot is so inspiring! It really proves that if you are willing to let your creativity guide you, amazing things are possible!

Thank you so much SMP team for letting us share this with our readers!
