Fresh Outdoor Decorating Ideas Coming In Patio Style Challenge
Over the past couple of years, The Apron Blog has brought you some incredible outdoor decorating ideas put together by some of the best and brightest names in the blogosphere. It’s The Home Depot Style Challenge series. This year, in our Patio Style Challenge, we have 24 bloggers and decorators and DIYers ready bring you fresh ideas and easy ideas you can put to good use in your own backyard.

Featuring a 2014 patio set as the centerpiece, each blogger has one month to turn his or her patio, deck or backyard into the outdoor space of their dreams. When they’re done, we will reveal their redesigned outdoor spaces with all the details for how they put it together.

We are proud to introduce the talented participants of our 2014 Patio Style Challenge:

First Row:

Amber is an avid DIY-er and crafting enthusiast living in Miami, Florida. Learn more about Amber on her blog, Damask Love, where craft is always in session.

Amy, of Your Southern Peach, is a genuine Georgia peach. Amy’s passion for southern hospitality and photography is evident with your fist glance at her blog. We can’t wait to see Amy’s final space, it’s sure to be full of domestic delights!

Anna is a lifestyle blogger at In Honor of Design, living in Atlanta. Last year, she participated in our Holiday Style Challenge with some fabulous dining room decorating ideas.

 

Second Row:

Ashley of Sugar & Cloth is a crafter and baker extraordinaire, and lucky for us, she has an knack for interior design too. Take a look at her blog, you’ll love her use of natural light and bright colors.

Caitlin of Style Within Reach is a lifestyle blogger living in the DC area. Also the Editorial Director for Glitter Guide, Caitlin’s style is polished and classic. Her entertaining skills will have you wishing for an invitation to the party!

Camille created her blog, Planning Pretty, as a way to collect inspiration and great ideas. Camille enjoys entertaining, baking sweet treats and adventuring around the Bay Area. We can’t wait to see the outdoor space she creates!

 

Third Row:

Carrie is the Jane-of-all trades behind Dream Green DIY, where she writes about interior design, entertaining and affordable style. Carrie dazzled us last year with her faux crown moulding project, as well as her Christmas tree decorating ideas in the Holiday Style Challenge.

Courtney is a talented interior designer in northern California. He keeps track of his interior design musings on his blog Courtney Out Loud. Courtney has impeccable taste and styling skills and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for this year’s Style Challenge.

Eileen blogs at A Creative Day.  When she isn’t busy helping clients with interior design projects, Eileen is updating her own home in Columbia, South Carolina. She’s already shared a few sneak peeks of her backyard makeover plans on her blog!

 

Fourth Row:

Emily and Ryan are Chicagoans who love, among many other things, cooking, DIY and making very cool stuff. You can see some of Ryan’s amazing creations on the blog attached to his website, handmadeamerica.us.

Erika of Blu Label Bungalow is a talented interior designer living in Atlanta. Erika’s thoughtful designs have been featured in print and online, and her blog is chock full of designer ideas.

Gloribell of I Don’t Know How She Does It! is a graphic and interior designer in Miami. Her blog features flawlessly styled vignettes and neat DIY ideas.

 

Fifth Row:

Jennifer is the voice behind withHeart, where she chronicles her renovation journey, with plenty of stylish DIYs, too. Check out her blog for lots of decor ideas and craft projects.

Joni is a talented graphic designer, mom of two and Atlanta resident. Joni shares inspiration boards in every color of the rainbow on her blog Lay Baby Lay.

Justina Blakeney is a woman of many talents. She’s a stylist, designer and blogging momma with a bohemian heart. Justina is currently working on her first solo-book project to be published in spring 2015

 

Sixth Row:

Kristen always has her hands in a DIY project or two, and you can find them all recounted on her blog Ella Claire Inspired. We can’t wait to see Kristen’s backyard patio transformation!

Kristin is an Atlanta resident and author of the popular design blog The Hunted Interior. She’s a stylish, DIY master, a killer combo if you ask us. Kristin created a bold, colorful deck in last year’s Style Challenge, and we can’t wait to see what she has up her sleeve this year!

Lesley is a Marietta, Georgia resident, writer and blogging mama. When she’s not writing about motherhood or home design, you can find her freelancing for stylists, children’s stores, and more. Plus, she’s already sharing inspiration for her patio makeover on her eponymous blog Lesley W Graham.

 

Seventh Row:

Lindsay is a design blogger and home-renovation survivor. She and her husband completely gutted and rebuilt their charming home in Greenville, South Carolina. Lindsay dishes on their planning and styling decisions on her blog, The White Buffalo Styling Co.

Mandy of Fabric Paper Glue is a blogger and crafter-extraordinaire in Nashville. You will love her talent for mixing colors, patterns and textures. Plus, check out Mandy’s newest crafty venture for locals, CraftCourseNash.

Michelle of 4 Men 1 Lady is a talented DIY-er with a knack for creating a comfortable home. She joined us for the Holiday Edition of the Style Challenge way back in 2012.

 

Eighth Row:

Shavonda has a passion for bold, colorful, eclectic design that is obvious as soon as you lay eyes on her blog, A Home Full of Color. I guess the name of her blog gives it away, doesn’t it? We can’t wait to see Shavonda’s grand patio plans.

Stephanie of Glitter and Goat Cheese lives in Atlanta. She has a contagious love of food, fashion, and interior design. Her blog is full of great ideas!
