Places: The Pergola

Posted by: on April 3rd, 2013 | 3 Comments

The Cedar Breeze is what we think of as your basic pergola. It comes unpainted, notched, pre-cut, pre-drilled and ready to assemble in a day’s time. Paired with an all-weather wicker seating set and surrounded by plants and flowers, it transforms an ordinary patio into an extraordinary outdoor room perfect for a gathering of friends and family.

An architectural structure that can be traced back as far as ancient Egypt, the pergola later became a common feature of Italian Renaissance gardens, often covering walkways or serving as grape arbors. Today, the same design can be used in your landscape to define a passageway, frame a focal point in your yard, or create the illusion of shelter without the feeling of being confined.

Options for pergolas abound. You won’t have difficulty finding one to match your intended use or desired look. You might, however, be surprised by the many different ways people are using pergolas not only to enhance their outdoor living spaces but also the look and feel of their home.

Take a look for yourself.
