Posted by: on February 12th, 2013 | Make A Comment

If you live in an area that receives frequent or heavy snowfall, you know that once all the flurries have settled, someone has to clear the driveway and sidewalks.

When a foot or two of fresh snow drops, a good snow blower can quickly become your new BFF.

Perhaps you don’t own a snow blower yet, but you’ve been thinking about purchasing one. After all, the very thought of breaking out the snow shovel is causing a slight twinge in your back.

Mike, aka FlyingHDsod, from our Community Forums would like to offer you some advice on how to choose the right snow blower for your needs — and get you in out of the cold a little sooner.

In the first video he’ll explain the features and benefits of single-stage snow blowers, like the ones from Toro that have easy-start systems that will usually crank after one or two pulls. You’ll also get invaluable tips on how to keep your snow blowers running at peak efficiency, and learn how to check critical equipment parts on your blower for signs of wear.

For bigger jobs, jump ahead to learn more about our two-stage snow blowers.

Experience the feeling of shredding snow bank with raw mechanical snow throwing power

As a major supplier of snow blowers, we couldn’t ignore this. The award for the most awesomest online ad for a snow blower ever written goes to Weh-Ming Cho of Moncton, New Brunswick.

His snow blower ad appeared on Kijiji, an online classified ad service popular in Canada.

Here’s a excerpt:

I want you to experience the rush that comes with smashing through a snowdrift and blowing that mother trucker out of the way. The elation of seeing the snow plow come back down your street and watching the look of despair as your OTHER  neighbour gets his shovel out once more while you kick back with a hot cup of joe.”

How could you not want to own a snow blower after reading that?

“This isn’t some entry level snow blower that is just gonna move the snow two feet away. This is an 11 HP Briggs and Stratton machine of snow doom that will cut a 29 inch path of pure ecstasy. And it’s only 4 years old. I dare you to find a harder working 4 year old. My niece is five and she gets tired and cranky after just a few minutes of shoveling.”

Can you feel it? Are you ready to throw some snow?
