Posted by: on January 29th, 2013 | One Comment

Almost every home has one: a scary closet, a little room of horrors, or the junk drawer from another planet filled with who knows what. There’s no time like right now to tackle your clutter problem. To lend a hand, we put together a few organization tips in this video to help you sort out the messy areas in your home.

Getting started is always the most difficult step in the process of reclaiming order from chaos. Just remember – you don’t have to do it all at once, nor should you even try. Whether it’s the closetgaragekitchen pantry, home office or the shed in desperate need of organization – jump in and get started somewhere.

We’ll show you some storage systems and options for organization that you can easily customize to get everything back into its proper place.

You’ll see wire shelving systems to tame unruly closets and pantries, modular and ceiling mounted storage for overrun garages, tracks systems that turn attic spaces into neat storage hideaways and our ever popular plastic totes for versatile everyday storage and organization. Plus, you can also take a look at cabinets, cubbiesshelves and a whole assortment of accessories that will enable you to turn underutilized space into functional storage.

And the best news is – once you do get organized, it’s much easier to stay organized.

When thinking about organization, it’s important to have tools that create home storage solutions. Unless your home is blessed with tons of built-ins and closet space, you’ve probably thought about adding a couple of furniture pieces that will give you space to store important papers, books, and your growing collections.

The Brexley collection, with its criss-crossed designs and open storage, is a great way to bring some stylish organization to your space.

TOP TO BOTTOM:

If your home has a roomy entryway, but it’s always filling up with dirty shoes, coats and backpacks, consider adding a storage bench that can house sneakers and other out-the-door items. We love the x-shaped design on the sides of the Brexley Chestnut Entry Bench and the open storage cubbies that make storing sneakers simple. But if open storage isn’t your thing, you can always add a couple of baskets to keep shoes out of sight.

But Eileen came up with a plan that would give the older child a little independence, but kept the shared bedroom toddler-friendly.
