Do you know the difference between single hung windows and double hung windows? Is one twice as difficult to install than the other? How about the difference between casement windows and clerestory windows? And what is a sash?

In this short video, you’ll find the answers to all these questions and get a brief overview of the common types of windows used in most homes today. It’s kind of like a two-and-a-half minute Windows 101.

And why is this important stuff to know? Well, because installing the right windows will not only give your home an updated look that is both smart and attractive, it can also have a significant impact on your heating and cooling bills.

Very much enjoyed the window explanation. We learned much from it, thank you.

One observation, please stop using utilize in place of the correct ‘use’. Somehow we missed the memo that must read, “from now on we will utilize utilize instead of utilizing use”.

Utilize and use have different meanings with different uses. In the video ‘use’ is the correct word not ‘utilize’. Yes, it does matter.
